If there is one franchise the world is eagerly awaiting a revival of, it has to be Spider-Man under the MCU banner. The last time we saw Tom Holland as the neighborhood web-slinging superhero was three years ago in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and the buzz surrounding it hasn’t faded yet. So you know what we’re talking about. There’s no way that the studios—both Marvel and Sony—aren’t working on more movies with Holland at the center, given the lucrative nature of the franchise. It was always certain that Tom would return for his solo franchise, but the exact number of films was unclear. Recently, reports surfaced about Sony and Marvel striking a fresh deal, and it turns out that a new agreement is in place.
According to scooper My Time To Shine Hello, Marvel and Sony have reached a very impressive deal. The studios have agreed to work on another Spider-Man trilogy, with Tom Holland leading Spider-Man 4, 5, and 6. This means Holland will make history with a second standalone trilogy. Additionally, he will also appear in three other MCU projects. While it’s not clear which ones yet, rumors suggest that he will have a bigger role in Avengers: Doomsday than he had in the last two Avengers films.
@MyTimeToShineH revealed, "There's a new Marvel-Sony deal that will have Tom Holland reprising his role as Spider-Man/Peter Parker in three more solo films (Spider-Man 4-6) and three additional MCU films (including Secret Wars and two others). The previous deal only covered No Way Home and Avengers. Part of the deal was for him to have a huge role to play in the Avengers films."
For those unaware, it’s no secret that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is a key player in the future of the Multiverse Saga. In his solo outing Spider-Man: No Way Home, he has already faced the multiverse, and as per reports, he is set to be a central character in Avengers: Secret Wars. Now, new reports suggest that Holland's Peter Parker will play an even more significant role in Avengers: Doomsday than he has in any previous Avengers movie. Read on for more details.
Scooper Daniel Richtman shared an update on Avengers: Doomsday via his Patreon account. He confirmed that Tom Holland is indeed returning as Spider-Man and will have a major role in the film. The studio has a plan in place and will manage to shoot both Doomsday and Spider-Man 4 in the same year, allowing them to release one after the other. Avengers: Doomsday is set for a May 1, 2026, release, and Spider-Man 4 is speculated to be released in July 2026.
