Tom Cruise’s next stint as Ethan Hunt comes with Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning- Part 1. The film’s makers were given a run for their money on Saturday, when the film’s trailer reportedly leaked on social media.
Twitter reportedly flooded with posts by users featuring the 2 minute long officially unreleased trailer. The makers seemed to have swung into action immediately after the leak, with the video of the trailer being disabled with the message ‘ a report by the copyright owner’ popping up. A trailer of the upcoming film had been showcased at this year’s CinemaCon, which took place last month.
But the trailer seems to have left quite a mark on the people who managed to watch it. Despite the trailer being removed, users could not stop gushing over the same, with many remarking that the trailer looked great.
Users who were too late to catch a glimpse of the trailer, similarly took to the social media platform to share their grief as well.
The upcoming seventh instalment in the Mission: Impossible film franchise is scheduled for release next year on July 14. The film had witnessed several snags in ist production as well as release, with its release dates getting postponed multiple times. The action thriller will see Cruise reprise his iconic role as secret agent Ethan Hunt. In addition to Cruise, the upcoming film also stars Hayley Atwell, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Henry Czerny and Esai Morales, among others, in pivotal roles. Christopher McQuarrie, who has also helmed two other films in the franchise, has written and directed the film.
Mission Impossible 8 is also in the works at the moment, with McQuarrie directing. The film is scheduled to be released in 2024.
