Tollywood celebrities party hard as Yash Daasguptaa and Nussrat Jahan turn producers

It was a star-studded evening at a Kolkata resto-pub where Nussrat Jahan and Yash Daasguptaa hosted a party to launch their film and television production house, YD Films, on Saturday. They have also formally announced the name of their pilot production, Mentaaal. As reported earlier, the film will be directed by Baba Yadav and will feature Nussrat, Yash, and Sayantani Ghosh. 

The announcement took place late in the evening as Ushoshi Sengupta introduced the logo of the production house and revealed the new film poster. While addressing the audience, Nussrat thanked her fellow industry members for attending the event. “As an industry, we stand together,” she said. 

Yash said, “Our audience got to know us through commercial masala films. With Mentaaal and other projects, we want to bring that back.” he also said that through this production house, they would like to take risks and make good commercial films. “Maybe we have forgotten to take risks. This production house will be our way to give back to the industry,” he said. And lastly, he joked, “I promised Nussrat that we would make many babies together, and this is one baby that we created together. Many more to come in the future.” 

From actors and actresses to directors, producers, and musicians – a large number of celebrities gather at the event. While Birsa Dasgupta and Srijit Mukherji seem to engage in light banter, Binodini-director Ram Kamal Mukherjee, Sudeshna Roy, Abhijit Guha, Avijit Sen, Premendu Bikash Chaki, and others were seen enjoying the party. Actress Tnusree Chakraborty, Manali Dey, Kaushani Mukherjee, Srabanti Chatterjee, Susmita Chatterjee, Lahoma Bhattacharya, and others dazzle the evening in their elaborate party outfits. Trina Saha and Neel Bhattacharya came together and were seen enjoying banter with fellow industry colleagues. Sandipta Sen and beau Soumya Mukherjee made a late entry after attending another success party. Bonny Sengupta, Kaushani, and Srabanti, too, made a late entry to the party that went past midnight.
