The first look of Raj B Shetty's Toby caught the attention of not just the Kannada moviegoers, but also those from other regions across the country. Raj is seductively battered and bruised in this poster we refer to, with his stoic face painted with scars, wounds and whatnot, and the heavy nose ring that he wears adds to the allure of the still. His look awarded him a lot of compliments from his fans, with many praising him for the commitment he has shown towards authenticity.

Toby, a film that Raj B Shetty has written (based on a story by TK Dayanand), co-produced and also starred in, is set to release in theatres on August 25, 2023. Basil AL Chalakkal, who has been Raj's associate since 2015, makes his directorial debut. Raj's other two main collaborators, music composer Midhun Mukundan and cinematographer Praveen Shriyan, too, are part of the film. Chaithra J. Achar, Samyukta Hornad and others form the rest of the cast of Toby.

Now, having piqued the curiosity of the general public, team Toby is ready to present a bigger glimpse of their film. Raj B Shetty took to social media to announce that the trailer of Toby will be out on August 4. There's a lot to look forward to in the film - the gritty setting, the music, the vibe or the tone of the film, etc. - and one expects the upcoming trailer to offer a taste of it all.

"Clearing the way for a chilly gust!! Clench your fists as #TOBY arrives soon with the trailer!" wrote Raj B Shetty in his social media post.

Raj, along with Rishab and Rakshit Shetty, is gradually creating a niche for himself as an actor-director. Bursting onto the scene with Ondu Motteya Kathe, a film that he both directed and starred in, Raj surprised everyone with his second directorial Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana (also starring Rishab Shetty), wherein he played a gangster. Thereby, the expectations from Toby are huge at the moment and the fact that it has been billed as a commercial entertainer makes things all the more exciting.
