Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has landed in troubled waters again. The sitcom has been running successfully for 16 years on television. But, in the past few years, TMKOC has faced several issues. The latest development is that Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal Gada reportedly had a major argument with producer Asit Kumarr Modi on the set. According to News18, the incident happened in August this year. It apparently happened over Joshi seeking permission to take a few days off.
As per the news report, Dilip Joshi reached out to TMKOC producer Asit to request a few days off from work. However, Modi reportedly avoided the conversation and it left the actor offended. A source close to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah's production unit revealed that the incident took place on Kush Shah aka Goli's last day on the set.
"Dilip ji was waiting for Asit bhai to come and talk to him about his leaves. But when Asit bhai came, he directly went to meet Kush. This disappointed Dilip ji. Dilip ji got very angry and the two got into a heated argument. Dilip ji even held Asit Modi’s collar and threatened to leave the show. However, Asit bhai calmed him down. We don’t know how to two sort their differences," a source told the publication.
The source added that this wasn't the first time Dilip got into a heated argument with Asit. They reportedly have arguments quite often. During a Hong Kong trip shoot for TMKOC, Dilip and Asit had a major fight but Gurucharan Singh Sodhi stepped in to resolve their differences.
For the uninitiated, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been airing on Sony Sab since 2008. Dilip Joshi has been associated with the TV show since its inception. TMKOC also features Munmun Dutta, Mandar Chandwadkar, Sonalika Joshi, and others.
