As reported earlier, Telugu actress Anushka Shetty has joined forces with director Krish for an upcoming women-centric film. The shoot for the film commenced secretly in Hyderabad and the team has now moved to Odisha for their next schedule. According to the latest speculations, the film has been titled ‘Seelavathi’.
The buzz also suggests that the title adds to the emotional depth and drama element of the film. Although there hasn’t been any official confirmation from the team about the title, insider sources claim that the film’s title has been fixed and will be unveiled through an announcement soon.
Vikram Prabhu to be a part of Anushka Shetty's film
The grapevine also suggests that Irugapatru actor Vikram Prabhu will be joining the cast as the male lead in the Krish directorial. If the rumours are true, the actor will be making his Telugu debut in this film. The actor, who was last seen in the action thriller Raid, is yet to confirm this update.
Is this film a social drama?
According to what we know, Anushka Shetty and Krish’s collaborative project went on floors secretly and the team is currently in Odisha for a special schedule. The makers have kept the film under wraps and have not announced it to the press. However, we have learned that the film is based on a social drama and is bankrolled by UV Creations. Interestingly, this is the second time that Krish has teamed up with Anushka Shetty. Earlier, the duo teamed up in Allu Arjun's blockbuster hit film Vedam (2010).

Meanwhile, Anushka Shetty, who was last seen in Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, will be foraying into the Malayalam film industry with the period fantasy thriller Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer. The film will see Anushka essaying the role of Kalliyankattu Neeli, a malevolent spirit. The film is directed by Rojin Thomas and is supposedly being made on a whopping budget of Rs 75 crore. The actress, who played a similar character in Arundhati, has left fans excited to see what she has to offer in her Malayalam film debut.
