The war of words between Leo producer Lalit Kumar and Tirupur Subramaniam, the president of Tamil Nadu's Theatre Owners Association, is heating up. A day after Lalit's interview, where he slammed all his critics, Subramaniam issued an ultimatum to the producer.

Tirupur Subramaniam seems to have been visibly agitated by the remarks of Leo producer Lalit Kumar. And he vowed to expose all his alleged lies in a tell-all interview soon.

"In another interview, I will reveal various truths about how you wanted Tamil Nadu theatres to sell tickets at a higher price and the other instructions you provided to theatres. I don't wish to reveal all this in respect to my office. But, if you continue on the same path, I will definitely expose all your lies," Subramaniam told a Tamil news channel.

Subramaniam also promised to initiate the long-overdue process aimed at enhancing transparency in the sale of cinema tickets across Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu. "I will publish the collection of all movies in my theatres, including Jailer, Leo, Varisu, and Ponniyin Selvan. I would be happy if Leo overtakes the collection of Jailer. Why would I feel bad when a film does a good business?," added Subramaniam.

The controversy started when Subramaniam gave a series of interviews last week accusing Lalit of indulging in unfair trade practices. He alleged that Lalit forced the theatres to overcharge 9 AM shows for Leo on its opening day to exploit the fan frenzy surrounding the movie.

Subramaniam claimed that he refused to comply with Lalit's demands and did not sell tickets at an inflated price. He also lashed out at Lalit for arm-twisting the theatres in the state into giving him 80 per cent of the profit share from ticket sales for Leo movie.

However, Lalit has denied all the allegations and alleged Subramaniam might be pursuing a personal vendetta against him.
