The life of Tiger Nageswara Rao, the notorious thief from Stuartpuram, Andhra Pradesh in the 70s, has now inspired a Telugu film starring Ravi Teja in the titular role. Nupur Sanon, Gayatri Bhardwaj play the female leads in the pan-Indian action entertainer directed by Vamsee. Abhishek Agarwal of Abhishek Agarwal Arts (the makers of Kartikeya 2, The Kashmir Files) is bankrolling the film.
Tiger Nageswara Rao is coming to theatres in five languages - Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil - this October 20 coinciding with the Dussehra weekend. While the teaser of the film opened to fabulous responses all over, the makers are amping up the promotional campaign seven weeks ahead of its release. GV Prakash Kumar is scoring the music for the same.
The first single from the film, Ek Dum Ek Dum was launched today. The fast-paced, peppy track where Ravi Teja is smitten by the woman of his dreams (played by Nupur) is sung by Anurag Kulkarni and has lyrics by Bhaskarabhatla Ravikumar. In the number, the protagonist, accompanied by a group of men, is trying hard to woo a college-going girl, who doesn’t respond to his advances.
‘Intikellagane Dishti Teesukove..Intha Andamente..Yetta Puttave..Chinna Navvuthone..Chitti Gundelone..Mandhu Gunde Kudi,’ the song expresses how Ravi Teja is smitten by Nupur’s beauty. The latter is also seen as a classical dancer in select portions of the track. Sekhar master’s free-spirited choreography, Bhaskarabhatla’s lyrics enhance the appeal of GV Prakash Kumar’s composition.
Renu Desai, Anupam Kher, Nasser, Murali Sharma, Jisshu Sengupta, Sudev Nair, Hareesh Peradi form the supporting cast of the film whose story is written by Vamsee and has dialogues by Srikanth Vissa. Madhie has cranked the camera for the project while Avinash Kolla is the production designer. Mayank Singhaniya, Archana Agarwal are the co-producers of the much-anticipated project.
