Ravi Teja's latest outing Tiger Nageshwara Rao is now all set to hit screens in Tamil as well. The Tamil version will drop in theatres on October 27 and the Tamil dubbed version will be released by Studio Green, the makers of Kanguva and Thangalaan.

The film, which stars Ravi Teja in the titular role, is helmed by Vamsee. The ensemble star cast includes Nupur Sanon, Renu Desai, Anupam Kher, Gayatri Bharadwaj, Jisshu Sengupta, Murali Sharma, Hareesh Peradi, Sudev Nair, Anukreethy VAS, Nassar, Aadukalam Naren, VTV Ganesh and Pradeep Rawat.
Music for the film is by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by R Madhi and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. The film is bankrolled by Abhishek Agarwal Arts and hit screens in Telugu on October 20. It opened in around 900 screens across the Telugu-speaking states of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
The story of Tiger Nageshwara Rao
The plot revolves around a notorious thief and outlaw, Tiger Nageswara Rao from Stuartpuram and his escapades which eventually goes on to become a threat to the security of the Indian PM. The story is a biography of the popular thief who lived in the 1970s and gave the authorities a run for their money.
While Rana Daggubati and Nani were said to have been approached for the titular character, Ravi Teja finally came on board.
Film opens to mixed reviews
The film predominantly opened to mixed reviews with many calling it lacking focus and not convincing. The OTTplay critic wrote, "While the colourful life story of a notorious thief deserves a film, the need to make a hero out of him leaves you with mixed feelings." Critics had also panned the film for its outdated style of storytelling. However, Ravi Teja was lauded for his energetic performance.
