One of the most successful movies of 2023 in Hindi cinema was Salman Khan’s "Tiger 3." The film was highly anticipated ever since it was announced, and Salman Khan’s cameo in "Pathaan" as Tiger left fans wanting more. After a successful theatrical run globally, Bhai is all set to create a storm in the streaming space as the movie has now made its streaming premiere on Amazon Prime Video.

While 2023 was owned by Shah Rukh Khan, he did let some other movies flourish too. As we saw the OGs of Bollywood reign supreme throughout the year, we were not surprised when Salman Khan re-established himself as a bankable superstar after suffering a series of flop films. "Tiger 3," a threequel to the hit franchise shaped by YRF under Aditya Chopra’s umbrella, put him back on the map and in a much stronger way. The theatrical run of the movie was quite celebratory as the audience flooded into the cinema halls, making it a successful venture.
The film starred Salman Khan as the titular character, alongside Katrina Kaif and Zoya, and Emraan Hashmi as the villain whom the former two are fighting against. It was directed by Maneesh Sharma. Taking the story ahead, the quest this time was more personal than ever for Tiger as his family was at stake. The trailer released before the theatrical release was a very good window.
Is The OTT Version An Extended Cut?
Rumors earlier had it that the streaming version of "Tiger 3" might be an extended cut with bonus content attached to the theatrical runtime. The same was done with "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani," where Karan Johar had to trim the songs for the theatrical cut, but on streaming, he added the complete footage for "Dhindora" and "Tum Kya Mile."
However, that is not the case for "Tiger 3." If one looks at the runtime, there is no addition or subtraction in the theatrical cut. Both versions are 155 minutes (2 Hours 35 Minutes) long. This means they were just rumors and nothing else.
Tiger 3 Box Office:
Salman Khan was reigning strong at the box office after a really long time. The star had suffered multiple duds that failed to create any dent at the box office. "Tiger 3" came as redemption for him as he was being talked about in the three-digit earnings yet again (we are talking about crores, just to be specific). As per numbers surfacing on the interest, "Tiger 3" earned Rs 466.63 crore at the global box office. The number is quite impressive looking at the current streak of the superstar.
