Back in 2012, not many people were confident that a young, talented woman in her early 20s could truly make a mark in the grand world of Bollywood. However, with hard work and perseverance, one can surely achieve success in life. This scenario is similar to the life of popular Indian singer Nikhita Gandhi. She, too, began working hard in the Indian music industry and soon got a breakthrough by performing the song ‘Ladio’ from Shankar's film, I (2015). Since then, there has been no turning back in her career. Nowadays, she is in the limelight for performing the terrific song ‘Leke Prabhu Ka Naam’ for the movie, Tiger 3.
Nikhita Gandhi’s Exclusive Interview: Tiger 3 special
Nikhita Gandhi is a big name in the music industry nowadays. She gained popularity after she sang Raabta for the 2016 movie of the same name. The movie featured late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and actress Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. Not only this, but the title track of the film featured Deepika Padukone in it.
Interestingly, Raabta marks Nikhita’s debut in the Hindi music industry. The film’s music was composed by Pritam.
Switching to 2023, Nikhita recently got an opportunity to work under the supervision of Pritam again. And this time, for a big banner film – a YRF film. She sang the latest song ‘Leke Prabhu Ka Naam’ along with legendary singer Arijit Singh.
Telling us about her journey in detail, Nikhita said, “I feel the same. I started with Pritam da and here I am again singing such an incredibly big song for him. I am feeling very blessed to have met the right people and the best of the best in the industry. And I only feel grateful about it. It is only because of Pritam da that I have come this far in Bollywood. I owe it to him and all the incredible people who believed in me.”
Nikhita even thanked Oscar-winning musician AR Rahman for recognizing her talent, which helped her pave the way in the Tamil and Telugu music industry – that is prior to entering the Hindi music industry in 2015.
