Like every year, this year too, Diwali was about fireworks, spreading smiles and cheer. But, this year, it was also extra special. The reason? Well… it was the time when Salman Khan starrer Tiger 3 had also got released. And since it stars Salman Khan, the makers were super confident that the film would do well, even when it was released on a Sunday. Proving their strategy right was Salman Khan’s Tiger 3, which, despite being released on a Sunday, went onto become a blockbuster! The latest update about the film is that it has now surpassed the magical Rs. 250 crores in India!
Within less than two weeks of the film’s release, it has now entered the Rs. 250 crore club. As per the most trusted website Sacnilk, the split up of the film is as follows: While on the first week, ‘Tiger 3’ minted Rs. 187.65 crore, of which the film’s Hindi version collected Rs 183 crore; the Telugu version collected Rs. 4.02 crore and the Tamil version collected Rs. 63 lakh. This was followed by the film ‘Tiger 3’ collecting Rs. 13.25 crore on the sixth day, Rs. 18.5 crore on the seventh day and Rs. 10.5 crore on the eighth day.
This was followed by the film collecting Rs. 7.35 crore on the ninth day. On the tenth day after the film’s release, ‘Tiger 3’ collected Rs. 6.7 crore. And, on the eleventh day, the film collected Rs. 5.81 crore. And on the twelfth day, the estimated collections of the film are around Rs. 4.66 crore in India, which only means that, the film’s total collections have now surpassed the magical Rs. 250 crore collections at the box office.
As for the film, besides Salman Khan, it stars Katrina Kaif as the leading lady. Besides them, the film also stars Vishal Jethwa and Emraan Hashmi, who makes a comeback of sorts with this film.
