Known for setting trends in the entertainment industry, whether through his soulful voice or captivating appearance, Kim Taehyung, also known as V of BTS, has ignited a fresh viral trend among his fans on social media. The 'THV GIRL' trend originated within Taehyung's TikTok fanbase but swiftly got on to other platforms like X (Twitter) and Instagram. Subsequently, as the trend gained momentum, fans of other BTS members followed suit, creating a similar trend.
The essence of the 'THV GIRL' trend lies in fans sharing their fashion lookbooks, drawing inspiration from Taehyung's distinctive style and aesthetic. These lookbook images showcase a mixture of the fans' personal belongings related to Taehyung's endorsed products, encompassing his album 'Layover,' fashion magazines, photobooks, BT21 character 'TATA' merchandise, as well as items from brands he endorses like CELINE and Cartier.
For those unacquainted, the moniker 'THV' stems from Taehyung's Instagram username, which is a blend of 'TaeHyung' and 'V,' which has evolved into one of his endearing nicknames among fans.
Witnessing the popularity of this trend, the BTS fandom called ARMY ensured to follow the path and reenact the same for all the other BTS members, using similar tags such as 'JK GIRL,' 'JIMIN GIRL,' and beyond.
It's been some time since BTS' V enlisted in the mandatory military service in South Korea, leaving fans eagerly anticipating his return. Despite the lack of updates about V and his fellow BTS members, a recent revelation from a soldier has brought attention to V's enduring playful nature.
In a viral post, the soldier shared an intriguing process for those seeking an autograph from the beloved idol. According to Koreaboo, "If you write your name down on a post-it note to get an autograph from V, executive officers receive five and assistant officers only receive two. However, V won’t just give autographs to assistant officers," he revealed.

As far as V's military duties are concerned, he remains dedicated to his duties as a special forces member of the military police in the 2nd Army Corps, stationed in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. His enlistment is set to conclude on June 10, 2025.
