Thurthu Nirgamana is a film that veteran actress Sudharani is quite excited about. The film, written and directed by Hemanth Kumar, is actor Suneel Rao’s comeback vehicle and is about what the protagonist would do if he were given a chance to go back to three days prior to his demise. In the film, the trailer of which was released recently, Suneel’s character dies in a hit-and-run case. However, Sudharani’s character, dressed as a hospital nurse, tells him that he will be sent back to three days prior to his death to figure out something that he needs to do, failing which he will be stuck in a time loop of these three days.

The dark comedy, which releases in theatres on June 24, also stars hitha Chandrashekar, Samyuktha Hegde and Achyuth Kumar in pivotal roles. Speaking at the recent trailer launch of the film, Sudharani said that Thurthu Nirgamana is the kind of experimental cinema that audiences should support in theatres. “I have not seen this kind of a film in my career so far and am fortunate to have gotten the opportunity to be a part of it,” she said, thanking Hemanth profusely for giving her the role. “This is a film that has to be seen not only for its star cast or the visual effects, but for Hemanth’s story, how he’s told it and the message therein. It will, no doubt, strike a chord with anyone who sees it. The trailer has given audiences a sneak peek into what to expect, but the true scale of it and the effort that Hemanth has put into making this film has to be seen on the big screen. We need more directors like Hemanth in the Kannada film industry. Honestly, I am as excited about Thurthu Nirgamana as I was about my debut film Anand and feel like a newcomer,” she said.
