The makers of Biju Menon’s upcoming film Thundu have released the trailer for the film. Riyas Shereef is making his directorial debut with this comedy entertainer, which will hit the big screen on February 16. A fun-filled, intriguing police drama featuring Biju Menon as a police officer afraid of exams is hinted at in the trailer, which was released on January 25.
It depicts his son lying on the latter's exam and getting caught by his teachers. Towards the end of the trailer, though, we catch the actor's character sneaking in a cheat sheet for a public exam. It also provides a glimpse into the conflicting egos that the characters played by Biju Menon and Shine Tom Chacko have in this movie.
Fans of the actor showered his social media post with well wishes and expressed excitement about seeing him play a cop again.
The first-look poster was shared by the actor on social media last month. In the poster, Shine Tom Chacko, Unnimaya Prasad, Shaju Sreedhar, Noushad Ali, Zhinz Shan, and Biju Menon are depicted against the backdrop of a police bus that is spewing smoke. Biju Menon is seen getting off the bus, clutching a ballistic shield. The video of its song, Vaanil Ninnum, was well-received for its full-of-life dance and music.
Ashiq Usman, in association with cinematographer and producer Jimshi Khalid, are producing the film under the banner of Ashiq Usman Productions. Riyas and Kannappan have penned the screenplay for Thundu. While the camera work is helmed by Jimshi Khalid, Nabu Usman is the editor.
Biju Menon will next be seen in Jis Joy's Thalavan with Asif Ali, which is scheduled for release on February 23 in theatres. He was last seen in Garudan, alongside Suresh Gopi. In December, the movie's motion poster with Asif Ali and Biju Menon dressed as cops was released. It also featured a gripping background score.
