Thundu on OTT- Here’s where to watch this Biju Menon-starrer family entertainer

Biju Menon-starrer police drama Thundu has hit the big screens across the state today (February 16). Along with its release, the makers of the comedy entertainer have revealed where to watch the film following its theatrical run.

Where and when to watch Biju Menon’s Thundu?

The film will be streaming on Netflix; however, the makers have not given an exact date of release. Recent Malayalam films usually have their streaming premiere following a four-week exclusive theatrical run, as per the present pattern in the sector. Biju Menon’s recent film, Oru Thekkan Thallu Case, which was released in 2022, is also streaming on the same platform.

All about Thundu

Debutant Riyas Shereef is directing this film. Thundu is running in theatres alongside Mammootty’s highly anticipated mystery horror Bramayugam, which was released in theatres yesterday (February 15). Girish AD’s romantic comedy Premalu and Tovino Thomas’ Anweshippin Kandethum are also running successfully in theatres.

A thrilling and entertaining police drama with Biju Menon as a police officer terrified of exams was alluded to in the movie's trailer. In it, his son is shown lying on the exam and being found by his teachers. 

However, at the very end of the teaser, we witness the actor's persona smuggling in a cheat sheet for an examination. It also offers a peek at the competing egos that Shine Tom Chacko and Biju Menon's characters in this film have.

Cast and crew behind Thundu

Shine Tom Chacko, Rafi, Unnimaya Prasad, Noushad Ali, Shaju Sreedhar, and Zhinz Shan are also playing pivotal roles in this film. Ashiq Usman and Jimshi Khalid have bankrolled the film under Ashiq Usman Productions’ banner. The director, along with Kannappan, have written the screenplay for Thundu. While Jimshi Khalid is the cinematographer, Nabu Usman oversaw the editing work for this movie.

Gopi Sundar has composed the soundtracks for Thundu. The lyrics for all the songs were penned by Vinayak Sasikumar. Muzik247 has secured the audio rights of the film.
