Thug Life, the highly anticipated Kamal Haasan starrer directed by Mani Ratnam, is nearing the final stages of its production. The legendary actor-director duo, who is joining hands after a long gap of over 37 years, recently wrapped up the film’s shoot. Silambarasan TR plays a pivotal role in the movie, which is touted to be a hyperlink action drama. As per the latest updates, the much-awaited Thug Life trailer is gearing up for a grand release.

If the recent updates are to be believed, the highly anticipated Thug Life trailer is gearing up for a grand release, in November 2024. According to the grapevine, director Mani Ratnam and his team are keen to drop the first glimpse of the upcoming action drama, on November 7, 2024, on the special occasion of leading Kamal Haasan’s 70th birthday. As per the reports, the team is actively working on the Thug Life trailer now, and a major update will be out very soon.
Thug Life release plans
If the recent updates are to be believed, director Mani Ratnam and his team have no plans to rush towards the release of the film. The official release date will be announced only after the master craftsman and his team wrap up the film's post-production work. However, sources close to Thug Life suggest that the Kamal Haasan starrer will hit the big screens by the summer of 2024, mostly in April.
As reported earlier, Kamal Haasan appears as the central character in Thug Life, which reportedly features Silambarasan TR in the role of his son. Trisha Krishnan plays the female lead in the film, which stars a stellar star cast including Ashok Selvan, Nasser, Delhi Ganesh, Abhirami, Joju George, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and others in supporting roles. AR Rahman is composing the songs and original score for the project. Ravi K Chandran is the director of photography. A Sreekar Prasad handles the editing.
