It has been five years since actor Sushant Singh Rajput's unfortunate demise and many are still in mourning over the talent lost early. Rajkumar Hirani, who was among the early directors to cast Sushant in a movie, recalled what it was like when SSR was on board for PK. He also dropped a major hint about Aamir Khan showing interest in the actor. Here's everything he said...
Rajkumar Hirani dropped a major hint that Aamir Khan showed interest in Sushant and wished to cast him in PK. Well, at least Aamir did end up trusting Hirani's decision even if the actor was trying to bring his nephew Imran Khan on board for this one. It is to be noted that his son Junaid Khan was one of the assistant directors on the film.
While talking to Bombay Times, Rajkumar Hirani revealed that Sushant was cast for PK even before his debut film Kai Po Che released in theatres. "I remember we were shooting with him when his first film was released. We all went to see his first film at the time," the filmmaker revealed. With it, he hinted that Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma and even Sanjay Dutt might have seen potential in Sushant in his debut film and decided to work with him.

PK released 10 years back and added another feather to Hirani films. It was the second time when Hirani worked with Aamir in the lead role. They are yet to collaborate on a third film together.
The unique title PK was something that just happened while working on the film. Originally titled Tully, the movie got renamed as PK since the alien was often asked, “Pi ke hai kya?,” every time he did something unexpected for the human race.
