Thalapathy Vijay's latest movie Leo has emerged as the biggest Indian success story at the box office this year. However, the film has not satisfied everyone, as it's garnering mixed reactions from critics and audiences alike.
The public reviews vary widely on the movie, owing to several reasons, including one's personal preferences. And it's a challenge to find a balanced and objective view of the movie amid the cacophony of endless opinions.
Leo viral review
Surprisingly, a senior citizen's review of Leo has been gaining viral traction on the internet for all the right reasons. The unidentified man in the viral video is not aware of the LCU, which refers to the cinematic universe that director Lokesh Kanagaraj is creating. This suggests that the reviewer is not a dedicated Vijay fan, as practically every Vijay fan is familiar with the LCU and its numerous fan theories.
In the video, the senior citizen candidly shares his thoughts on Leo. "I have seen this movie three times. There isn't much of a storyline here. It has extraordinary production value, photography and editing. Also, music is not up to the mark. Anirudh's music knowledge is not very good. He has used two Spanish songs in the movie," said the person.
"There is a dance sequence, which is very good Vijay has performed very well in it. But, they (the filmmakers) don't even know how to properly develop the characters. For example, during a chase sequence, Vijay rides a bike with a police officer, but suddenly, that character vanishes from the scene. Similarly, several character continuity is missing," he opined.
This video has garnered widespread attention on social media, with netizens appreciating the man's analytical skills and straightforward opinions.
