This Is Us is back yet again to make viewers feel the whole spectrum of human emotion with each episode. NBC has unveiled the official trailer for the sixth and final season of the acclaimed series recently, and it promises a poignant send off for the big three.
The trailer’s opening sequence shows Rebecca on the verge of losing her memory to Alzheimer’s disease; reflecting over the different moments in her life as she wonders which memory will be her last. As Kate is heard singing in the background, viewers are taken through some momentous moments in the life of the big three, some heart warming and some heart breaking.
The trailer takes viewers down memory lane with some poignant moments from previous seasons that viewers cannot forget; Randall comforting his dying biological father; Kevin comforting his brother during a nervous breakdown; a young Jack and Rebecca having a pleasant moment together before the arrival of their children. Rebecca’s words of wishing she could just ‘make time stand still’ perfectly encompasses the sentiments the last season promises to evoke in viewers.
Created by Dan Fogelman, This Is Us traces the life of the Pearson family as they make their way through life towing the remnants of a tragedy in their past. The series stars Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz and Justin Hartley in lead roles. The Emmy nominated show’s final season will premiere on January 4, 2022.
The first five seasons of This Is Us are available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
