The announcement about NBC’s hit family drama This Is Us ending after the sixth season has left fans shocked and heartbroken. The story of the Pearson family will wrap up next year as the show gears up for a final season next year.
The news made fans and the cast of the show equally upset and emotional. “Whoever casually first said ‘All good things must come to an end’ never had to end their favourite thing. While sad to have just 1 season left, also grateful to NBC for letting us end the show how, and when, we always intended. We’ll work hard to stick the landing,” Fogelman tweeted.
Mandy Moore, who plays the lead role of Rebecca Pearson in the show, took to Instagram and posted, “Officially official. One season left of my favourite job. You can bet we will be soaking in every single moment.” She also interacted with fans on her Instagram story, reassuring them that even though she’s emotional about her favourite job coming to an end, they still have one season to go and wrap things up as they intended.

With the sixth and the last season likely to release after a long hiatus in 2022, fans can still have a few more episodes of season five to watch before the finale airing on May 25.
