Lal Salaam, the highly anticipated sports action drama helmed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, is gearing up for a Pongal 2024 release. Rajinikanth is making a special appearance in the movie, which stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles. The makers are reportedly set to conduct a grand audio launch event for the movie in Chennai on December 21, 2023. Ahead of the audio launch, the Lal Salaam released the much-awaited first single Ther Thiruvizha on social media today.
Ther Thiruvizha song exudes major festive vibes
Lal Salaam’s first single Ther Thiruvizha, which is a fast number set in the backdrop of a local temple festival, exudes major festive vibes. AR Rahman, the legendary musician who has composed the song, once again astonishes the Tamil music lovers with his impeccable choice of playback singers, and extraordinary orchestration that mainly consists of traditional musical instruments of South India.
It is just heartwarming to listen to the main vocals by Shankar Mahadevan, that bring a major nostalgic factor to the song. However, the Ther Thiruvizha song did remind me of of the late legendary singer SP Balasubramaniam as it totally belongs to the genre he made popular. The rest of the playback singers AR Raihanah, Deepthi Suresh, and Yogi Sekar have also done a fine job. Vivek’s lyrics and the colorful visuals featuring Vishnu Vishal, Senthil, Thambi Ramaiah, and others, also set the mood right.
Lal Salaam audio launch – all you need to know
If the reports are to be believed, the Lal Salaam audio launch event is slated to be held on December 21, Thursday, at Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai from 7 pm. Rajinikanth is expected to attend the event, along with the rest of the cast and crew members and a few special guests. AR Rahman and his team are reportedly planning to perform live at the event, which is expected to be streamed on a leading Tamil television channel very soon.

Rajinikanth is making a special appearance in the role of Moideen Bhai in Lal Salaam. Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth are playing the lead roles in the film, which stars cricketer Kapil Dev, Vignesh, Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, KS Ravikumar, Thambi Ramaiah, Nirosha, Vivek Prasanna, Dhanya Balakrishna, and others in pivotal roles. The sports-action drama is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, under the banner Lyca Productions.
