The movie opened to decent response from cinephiles and critics. Lyca Productions has bankrolled the project which has music by Siddhu Kumar, cinematography by Ravivarman Neelamegam and editing by Prasanna GK. GR Surendarnath has penned dialogues while Ramu Thangaraj has helmed art direction.

A few days ago, director Rohin had expressed excitement on his Twitter page over the movie trending at the seventh position on Netflix. A couple of days ago, Theera Kaadhal was trending at the fourth position, and now, it has moved up and is currently at the second position. Film buffs are eager to know if the film could surpass its own performance again.

The film marked Aishwarya's fifth project this year while it was Jai's first outing in 2023 in a lead role. For Sshivada, it was her second release and first film with both Jai and Aishwarya. The makers had announced Netflix acquiring the movie's OTT rights much before its theatrical release.

Siddhu's music and performances of lead actors received appreciation from several quarters, but the screenplay was criticized to a certain extent owing to the lack of novelty.
