The first two seasons of The White Lotus are streaming on JioCinema in India, leading fans to think that the third season would drop on JioCinema. However, it was confirmed yesterday that The White Lotus season 3 will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar and will stream from February 17, 2025. The show will be released globally on February 16, 2025. This change could be part of the JioStar merger that has been the talk of the town for a while now. The eight-episode show will release one episode every Monday. If it follows the standard Max release time, the show will hit the streamer at 6:30 am or 7:30 am.

Hailing from the genius Mike White, The White Lotus season 3 is an eight-episode season. The logline reads, “The social satire is set at an exclusive Thai resort and follows the exploits of various guests and employees over the span of a week.” Season 3 is created, written, and directed by White, who is also executive producing alongside David Bernad and Mark Kamine.

It is being said that season 3 of The White Lotus will mainly focus on death and Eastern religion and spirituality, as White previously shared during a post-finale Season 2 featurette. “The first season kind of highlighted money, and then the second season is sex,” White said. “I think the third season would be maybe a satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality. It feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round at The White Lotus,” as per Entertainment Weekly.

The makers have already confirmed season 4 for the show. Meanwhile, the first season dropped in July 2021 and was set in Hawaii. The season received 20 Emmy nominations across 13 categories and ten wins. Season 2 of The White Lotus, released in December 2022 and set in Sicily, bagged 23 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, and won five awards.

While Natasha Rothwell continues to be the common thread between all the seasons, she is the only character recurring from season 1 as she will return for the third season too.
