Normally, there’s a calm before the storm, but with KGF: Chapter 2, it’s quite the opposite. Ahead of the release of the much-awaited second instalment of the KGF saga, the first promotional material put into the public domain was the single Toofan, which literally stormed the charts. This was followed by the explosive trailer, which has notched up record number of views since its debut on March 27.

And now, comes the calm, with the latest single from KGF: Chapter 2. A little while ago, the song Gagana Nee, which the team describes as the ‘voice of every mother’ was released with a lyrical video. Composed by Ravi Basrur, with lyrics by Kinnal Raj, the song has been sung by Suchetha Basrur.

Produced by Vijay Kiragandur for Hombale Films and directed by Prashant Neel, the second and final instalment in the KGF saga, KGF: Chapter 2 releases in theatres world-wide on April 14. The film is led by Rocking Star Yash and has a massive ensemble cast, including Prakash Raj, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, Malavika Avinash, Tarak Ponnappa, Vasishta N Simha, John Kokken, Ayyappa Sharma, Saran Sakthi, TS Nagabharana, Eshwari Rao, Lakki Lakshman, Harish Rai, Srinivas Murthy, Archana Jois, Ramachandra Raju, BS Avinash, Dinesh Mangalore, Ashok Sharma, Vinay Bidappa, Mohan Juneja, Achyuth Kumar, among many others. The film is being presented in North-Indian markets by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment and AA Films. Overseas advance bookings have already opened in multiple locations to record-breaking response.

In the run-up to the release of KGF: Chapter 2, the makers are releasing the first part, KGF: Chapter 1 in select centres on April 8. It is expected that advance booking will open in Karnataka on the same day, when the first list of theatres is published.
