Vivek Agnihotri-directed The Vaccine War has been one of the much-awaited films this year. The film is finally out in theatres and the audience has given their verdict. On the opening day, the Nana Patekar, Pallavi Joshi and Raima Sen in pivotal roles along with Anupam Kher starrer earned merely Rs 80 lakh, while on its second day, the movie witnessed not much increase in earnings and minted only Rs 85 lakh.

According to a report on Sacnilk, India's first-ever bio-science movie minted Rs 85 lakh, which is even less than a crore. The box office collection of its first two days made the total earnings of the vaccine war Rs 1.70 crore. This is even less than Agnihotri's much attention-grabbing film The Kashmir Files, which was released last year and minted over Rs 12 crore in the first two days.

Meanwhile, another latest theatrical release Fukrey 3 starring Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, and Pankaj Tripathi with Ali Fazal minted a total of Rs 16.32 crore in two days. On the other hand, films that were released a couple of weeks earlier in the cinema are still going strong including Jawan and Gadar 2. Even on its 23rd day, which marks the second day of The Vaccine War, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer earned Rs 5.25 crore. On the other hand, Sunny Deol's epic action drama movie minted Rs 45 lakh on its 48th day of release.
