The Union OTT release date – Watch Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry’s high stakes espionage mission on THIS platform

Formerly titled Our Man from Jersey, The Union explores a fun answer to a particular ‘what if’ that bubbles up in our hearts from time to time. What are the people who we haven’t kept in touch with up to? Since most of the time nostalgia overpowers us with its potency, we forgot to ponder on the answer. This film explores an interesting response to that tickle of curiosity and longing.

Release date and first glimpse of The Union

BAFTA-winning director Julian Farino of Marvellous (2014) is leading this project. Written by Joe Barton and David Guggenheim, The Union will be released on Netflix on August 16, 2024. Though no official teaser or trailer has been dropped yet, Netflix’s sizzle reel for 2024 contained a passing clip from The Union.

It featured the two leading actors with surprisingly decent chemistry, despite the brief glimpse. Starring Mark Wahlberg as Mike and Halle Berry as Roxanne, The Union’s sizzle reel clipping was symbolic of Mark Wahlberg’s goofy yet relevant humor, with him highlighting his importance to Berry by asserting that she just called him “the Jersey James Bond”. The clip also featured Berry teaching him how to shoot with a gun properly.

The Union follows Mike, an ordinary, down-to-earth dude from New Jersey who works in construction. But when Mike’s ex-girlfriend Roxanne enters his life , things turn around. First, she had a career change, grown hotter, and had just asked him for help in a high-stakes US intelligence mission. Soon, his quiet, hardworking existence is replaced by a tumultuous and whirlwind adventure unlike any he had before.
