Actor Kajol, who will be seen next in the film The Trial, deleted all her social media posts on June 9, leaving fans puzzled and worried. A day later, all her posts on her social media handles were restored and it turned out that it was a marketing gimmick to attract attention of her social media fans.
This gimmick was a way to promote her upcoming digital film, The Trial, which is slated to be released on Disney Plus Hotstar soon. It is believed that The Trial is the official Hindi adaptation of the popular American legal and political drama The Good Wife, which stared Julianna Margulies in the lead role.
The reputed OTT platform, in its social media post wrote, “The tougher the trial, the harder you come back! Catch the trailer for my courtroom drama. #HotstarSpecials #TheTrial - Pyaar Kanoon Dhokha on June 12th. #TheTrialOnHotstar”
With this suspense thriller, Kajol is all set to make her web series debut by playing the role of Noyonika Sengupta, a fierce lawyer, mother, and wife.
Today, the trailer of the courtroom drama is likely to be dropped anytime soon. Ahead of the release of the trailer, Kajol’s husband, actor Ajay Devgn has wished her lady love in a fun way. The adorable couple never leaves a moment to exude couple goals.
In a tweet today, Ajay wrote, “Logon ka case lene mein, meri biwi se better koi nahi hai, yes or no? @itsKajolD”
The tweet can be loosely translated as “Nobody is better than my wife in handling cases of people. Yes or no?”
