The Thundermans Return – Release date, trailer, plot, cast and all there’s to know

The Thundermans won the Favorite TV Show award in Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards in 2016. Spanning four seasons, the series ran from 2013 to 2018 and won hearts with its comical, Spy-Kids like graphics, fun superhero sequences, and heartwarming premise. The adored show has got a follow-up movie, The Thundermans Return, releasing right in time to cheer up those afflicted by annual exam blues.

The Thundermans Return is releasing on March 7, 2024, on Paramount+ and dropped its trailer earlier today at the US Super Bowl Sunday. The film is intent on sticking to the look and feel of the show and the trailer offers a view of the superhero family’s adventures, that now appear nostalgic and childish, though once excited us to no end. Not only in themes and execution, but the cast as well as most of the crew working behind the camera remain the same.

The contents of the trailer and the plot of The Thundermans

The Thundermans Return trailer offers a nostalgic glimpse of the new adventures of the eponymous family. Twins Max and Phoebe are enjoying their superhero lifestyle, while leading their T-Force, comprising of siblings Nora, Billy, and Chloe, and parents Hank and Barb. But when one ‘save’ goes awry, the T-Force are disbanded and sent back to Hiddenville.

While the rest of the family is pleased about it, Phoebe and Max are determined to regain their superhero status. But when the superhero twins go missing, the rest of the family must team up and rescue them from the lair of their arch nemesis Dark Mayhem, with whom they share a long history, before he tortures and kills them.

Cast and Crew of The Thundermans Return

The Thundermans Return is directed by Trevor Kirschner and stars original series cast Kira Kosarin as Phoebe, Jack Griffo as Max, Addison Riecke as Nora, Diego Velazquez as Billy, Maya Le Clark as Chloe, and Chriss Tall man and Rosa Blasi as their parents Hank and Barb.

Stars Kira Kosarin and Jack Griffo executively produced the film along with original executive producers Dan Cross and David Hoge. The other three EPs, Jed Spingarn, Sean W. Cunningham, and Marc Dworkin were in charge of the story, while Spingarn wrote the teleplay.
