The Telugu remake of Oh My Kadavule titled Ori Devuda, Vishwak Sen and Mithila Palkar play leads

It's already well-known that the super hit Tamil rom-com Oh My Kadavule, starring Ashok Selvan, Ritika Singh, Vani Bhojan, is getting a Telugu remake. The director of the original, Ashwath Marimuthu, has assumed charge of its Telugu version as well. The film is produced by Pearl V Potluri, Param V Potluri, Dil Raju under PVP Cinema and Sri Venkateswara Creations. The Telugu remake titled Ori Devuda stars Vishwak Sen and Mithila Palkar in the lead roles. The film marks the Telugu debut of Mithila Palkar, popular for appearances in Netflix shows like Little Things, Tribhanga besides Karwaan.

The first look and the motion poster of the movie were unveiled at Mallareddy Women's College, Hyderabad on Tuesday. The motion poster, which starts with the words 'Marriages are made in heaven' has Mithila Palkar trying to catch Vishwak Sen with a rope, while the latter is trying to catch a butterfly. The backdrop of a church can be spotted in the same as well. Vishwak and Mithila will reprise the roles that Ashok Selvan and Ritika Singh essayed in the original. The casting certainly looks promising and it'll be interesting to see if there are any noticeable tweaks made in the Telugu version.

Tharun Bhascker has penned the dialogues for Ori Devuda, while Garry BH has edited it. The core technical team of Oh My Kadavule has been retained for the film including cinematographer Vidhu Ayyanna and composer Leon James. Vamsi Kaka is the executive producer for the project. No announcement has been made on the release date yet. More details about the cast will be out soon.

Oh My Kadavule revolves around two childhood sweethearts Arjun and Anu who get married and their relationship takes a turn for the worse owing to trust issues. Just when there seems to be no way out for the couple, Arjun gets a rare opportunity to revisit his past and look life from a new slate, make his decisions more wisely. Arjun takes a call to reject Anu's proposal for marriage and forges a strong bond with his school senior Meera but isn't lucky with love. And yet again, Arjun finds himself at the crossroads, wondering if he made the right decision. Is there a happy ending in store?
