The first look and second look of Nayanthara-starrer Connect, produced by Vignesh Shivan's Rowdy Pictures, were revealed on the actress' birthday recently. The horror thriller brings together director Ashwin Saravanan and Nayanthara for the second time after Maya (streaming on Sun NXT, Jio Cinema and MX Player).

The posters released by the makers had mentioned that veteran actors Sathyaraj and Anupam Kher will be seen playing crucial characters in the project. Now, the team has officially welcomed the senior Bollywood actor with a new poster of the movie, featuring him. Going by the poster, he essays the role of a pastor in the film.

An excited Ashwin took to Twitter to share the happiness of working with the veteran actor. He tweeted, "It’s an absolute honour & pleasure to have you on board @AnupamPKher sir. Kicked! (sic)." The movie marks Anupam's return to Kollywood after more than a decade. With an intense look on his face, seems like the actor is playing a serious role in it.

Popular teen singer Haniya Nafisa is another actor who will portray a pivotal role in the project. Prithvi Chandrasekar composes music for Connect which has cinematography by Manikantan Krishnamachary and editing by Richard Kevin.

Earlier, the team had released an audio clip which featured a short sound bit of Nayanthara's character talking to her daughter. The clip ends with an eerie sound hinting at the presence of a supernatural element. Movie lovers and fans of Nayanthara hope that Connect is another engaging flick from the filmmaker who last made Taapsee Pannu-starrer multilingual film Game Over (streaming on Netflix).
