The Sounds of Forest: Yessma’s latest adult web series, directed by Lakshmi Dheeptha, comes with a dark twist

Malayalam adult OTT website Yessma has released the first two episodes of its latest web series titled The Sounds of Forest, which is directed by Lakshmi Dheeptha. The 18+ erotic web series was the first title to drop on the platform in December, with its pilot episode streaming from December 7 and second from Wednesday.

The Sounds of Forest revolves around a guy who comes to meet a girl after being introduced to themselves through a dating app. The episodes, which are about 20 minutes each, have several twists. This series is also a departure from Yessma’s previous content that were mostly shot indoors in restricted settings. This web series, which also features Diya Gowda, has several outdoor sequences and could be one of the more expensive features from the adult website.

The series’ director Lakshmi also plays a cameo at the start of the episode. Almost all the web series on the platform have been helmed by Lakshmi. Yessma began streaming in August with Nancy and since then have added several erotic titles including Hot Stone, Rs 1000, Room Number 222, Paalpayasam and Ladies Hostel.

Ladies Hostel also marked the platform’s first-ever series to be dubbed in Tamil. Post The Sounds of the Forest, Yessma is expected to begin streaming another series titled Sreeragam. The platform had released the poster of the upcoming series earlier in the week.

Yessma is touted to be the first Malayalam adult platform to stream only adult content. It follows the idea of sites such as Ullu TV, NueFlicks, KindiBoz and Prime Fliz that also stream erotic content. The platform had courted controversy earlier this year with two actors filing cases against the director as well as the producers – Aryanandha Creations – for forcing them to be a part of adult web series.
