Nawin Vijaya Krishna, son of actor Naresh, who made a mark as a lead with films like Nandini Nursing Home and Oorantha Anukuntunnaru, is turning a director for a musical short titled Satya, produced by Dil Raju Productions, the makers of films like Balagam, Jersey and the web show ATM. Sai Dharam Tej, Swathi Reddy played the key roles in the short.

Sruthi Ranjani, the popular playback singer, is turning a composer with Satya. The Soul of Satya, the song from the short film, was launched commemorating Independence Day. The number was unveiled in three languages today - Telugu, Hindi and Tamil. Sruthi Ranjani is also the lyricist for the Telugu version while Ritesh G Rao, Vivek Rao worked on the Hindi and Tamil versions.

The song beautifully captures the bliss in the life of a newly married couple. While Swathi is raised by her mother, claiming that a ‘prince charming’ would marry her one day. She eventually marries Surya but is still apprehensive about her future with him. After initial anxiety, Surya makes her feel comfortable and they eventually lose track of time in each other’s companionship.

Surya says that his only hope is to raise a kid who’ll have a better future than them. They spend several happy moments at home, in their outings and seem a perfect match for one another. Swathi and Surya are also expecting a child while the latter needs to leave her owing to his professional commitments. The woman goes through pregnancy alone and ultimately delivers a child.

Meanwhile, in the final act, you realise that Sai Dharam Tej is a soldier who’s safeguarding innocent people as part of ‘Operation Rakshak’ at Kupwara. The seamless editing where Sai Dharam Tej’s roar on the battle field and Swathi’s pain during pregnancy are showcased at once, is easily one of the most beautiful moments in The Soul of Satya.

Balaji Subramanyam cranked the camera for the short while Avinash Kolla is the art director. Saketh Komanduri composed the background score for the number released via T Series. Kadali wrote the dialogues for the Telugu version.
