The Signature: Anupam Kher aka Arvind feels distressed as his wife faces serious health crisis | Watch new promo

Veteran actor Anupam Kher is all geared up to be seen in his 525th film with The Signature. The film will be released in October on ZEE5 (OTTPlay Premium). The film is an adaptation of Vikram Gokhale's film Anumati (2013) where Kher will be seen portraying the lead role which was played by Gokhale in the Marathi film. Ahead of the release, the makers dropped a new promo where Arvind (Anupam Kher) looks distressed due to his wife's health crisis.

On September 30, ZEE5 shared a new clip of The Signature featuring Anupam Kher. In the video, the actor who will be seen playing the role of Arvind looks helpless and frustrated as his wife is facing a serious health crisis. He can be heard saying, "You will die after my signature on the DNR form. You need my signature, you need my permission and then you will leave me forever."

While sharing the promo, the streaming platform captioned it, "They say God is cruel, but this scene defines it. The Signature premieres 4th October on #ZEE5."

Recently, the makers dropped a new poster of Neena Kulkarni, who will be seen playing the role of Anupam Kher's wife Madhu in The Signature. Sharing the poster, they gave a peek into her character as they captioned the post, "Madhu: A perfect wife, a perfect sangini! She is truly the heart and soul of Arvind. The Signature premieres 4th October on #ZEE5."

The trailer shows Anupam Kher's Arvind, dealing with a heartbreaking crisis when his loving wife collapses and is diagnosed with a disease just before their international trip. After exhausting all his resources, when Arvind seeks help from his own children, he is forced to make a life-or-death choice for his wife.

The official synopsis of the film read: "Arvind's lifeline Madhu, falls ill and is put on life support after 35 years of marriage. Lost between hope and despair, will Arvind save Madhu or will realities take over?."

Meanwhile, The Signature is directed by Gajendra Ahire and is produced by K.C. Bokadia and Anupam Kher Studio. The film explores the themes of struggle, hope, sacrifice, and love.

Notably, the film was selected for the Namaste Vietnam Festival 2023, where it was screened. Along with Anupam Kher and Annu Kapoor, the star cast of the film includes Mahima Chaudhary, Ranvir Shorey, Manoj Joshi, and Neena Kulkarni in important parts. The Signature will be released on October 4 on ZEE5.
