After showing high school romance in Never Have I Ever, Mindy Kaling has taken the college route for her upcoming series titled The Sex Lives of College Girls. The actor-filmmaker has dropped the trailer for the HBO Max original series. The show follows four college roommates played by Pauline Chalamet as Kimberly, Amrit Kaur as Bela, Renee Rapp as Leighton and Alya Chanelle Scott as Whitney.

The tagline of the series is 'No rules, no regrets. The best years of their lives are about to begin.' In the series, the college students are studying at New England’s prestigious Essex College. They explore relationships, casual sex, rediscovering themselves and more but in the quirkiest way ever.

Mindy has co-created the show with Justin Noble and the series is streaming from November 18, 2021, on HBO Max.

The series also features Midori Francis, Gavin Leatherwood, Christopher Meyer, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, Lauren 'Lolo' Spencer, Renika Williams, Sherri Shepherd, Maya Rose, Rob Huebel, Nicole Sullivan, Conor Donnally, Sierra Katow, Mekki Leeper and James Morosini in supporting roles.

Earlier while talking about writing The Sex Lives of College Girls, Noble had told Deadline, "We stacked our writers' room with a truly incredible staff that is almost entirely female from all different ages and all different walks of life."

He praised them by saying they were all brilliant, so smart, funny and great. Noble added that they contributed to each of these characters and in such huge ways.

The creator of The Sex Lives of College Girls also revealed that just listening to the writers’ experience and their thoughts on what the characters of the show would do made it the easiest job in the world. Noble just had to stand in the middle and say ‘Yes, I love what that person is saying.'
