The filmmaker will be presenting a first-of-its-kind treasure hunt-based series, The Secret of the Shiledars. Starring Rajeev Khandelwal and Sai Tamhankar in the lead roles, the show will soon drop on a leading streaming platform. The Secret of the Shiledars OTT release date
The makers of The Secret of the Shiledars dropped the first glimpse of Rajeev Khandelwal-starrer on Instagram. While sharing the glimpse, Disney+ Hotstar revealed that the series will drop on January 31, 2025. All episodes of the show will stream on the same day.

Sharing the promo on social media, the streamer mentioned, "Parampara aur raaz ko sadiyon se barkaraar rakhte hai yeh - SHILEDAR! All Episodes of HotstarSpecials TheSecretOfTheShiledars will be streaming from Jan 31 (sic)."
In an official statement, Rajeev Khandelwal admitted he was sceptical about playing a different and evolving character in the series. However, director Aditya Sarpotdar made everything easy for Rajeev with his futuristic vision.
"Like most of us who are fascinated by history, I was left spellbound when Aditya narrated the script and it ignited the curiosity within me to be on board for such a fun and insightful project. I can’t wait to take the audience on this joy ride and see their reaction on Disney+ Hotstar," shared Rajeev.
Sai Tamhankar on doing The Secret of the Shiledars
On the other hand, Sai Tamhankar expressed excitement about doing a series that narrates the tale of Marathas and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's legacy. For the uninitiated, the series will narrate the tale of 'Shiledars — stalwart defenders and trusted stewards whose unwavering dedication shaped the course of an era'.
