Adding one more to the list are now Vikrant Massey, Riddhi Dogra, and Raashii Khanna, who star in The Sabarmati Report. The movie has been in the news ever since it was announced, right when Massey was having the time of his life with the release of Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail. It turns out the makers have now shared the first look teaser of the movie, and it is a heartbreaking story.

The Sabarmati Report finds its inspiration in the real-life tragedy that claimed a lot of lives in Godhra, Gujarat. On the morning of February 27, 2022, a train was set on fire near the Godhra station, leading to the tragic incident. It has been a very controversial chapter in recent history and even led to a series of tragic events that changed the social fabric of the country in more ways than one.

Earlier, the makers also released a video as a homage to those who lost their lives in the Godhra burning train incident. The engaging video set an emotional tone and indeed raised curiosity to watch what really happened near the Godhra railway station. The Sabarmati Report will be released in theatres on May 3, 2024.
