The Roshans OTT release date: When, where to watch documentary on Hrithik and Rakesh Roshan's family

A few days ago, Netflix announced a docu-series on the journey and legacy of the Roshan Family - Roshan Lal, Rajesh Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, and Hrithik Roshan. This series unravels the multi-generational journey of the Roshans, showcasing their extraordinary contributions to Indian cinema. After announcing the documentary, the makers have finally announced the release date. 

When and where to watch The Roshans?

Today, on December 18, the makers announced the release date of The Roshans, a compelling four-part docu-series that offers an intimate look into the extraordinary legacy of one of Indian cinema’s most iconic film families. It is set to premiere on January 17, 2025, on Netflix. 

Sharing the big news on social media, Netflix unveiled a new poster featuring Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, and Rajesh Roshan. 

In the caption, they wrote: "Lights, camera, family! Dive into the world of The Roshans through music, movies, and a bond that defines legacy. Watch The Roshans, arriving on 17 January, only on Netflix."

Industry veteran, Shashi Ranjan has directed and co-produced the docu-series with Rakesh Roshan, featuring candid interviews and heartfelt personal anecdotes with industry peers, friends, and colleagues who offer their perspectives on the Roshan legacy. The Roshans is a tribute to the spirit of Roshan Saab’s song Rahen Na Rahen Hum—a celebration of their timeless melodies, unforgettable stories, and enduring impact on Indian Cinema.

Earlier, the Roshan family expressed their excitement about the show and said, “We are incredibly excited to partner with Netflix and share previously untold stories that shaped our lives. The platform allows us to reach viewers from across the globe, and it’s an honor to showcase our journey to the audience.”

If reports are to be believed, the documentary will also feature Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Sham Kaushal lending their insights into the Roshan family's journey.
