A new four-part docuseries named The Romantics from Netflix will honour the rich cultural legacy of famous director Yash Chopra and Yash Raj Films (YRF) over 50 years. The documentary will come out on February 14, 2023, as a tribute to the legend.

Yash Chopra is frequently referred to as the "Father of Romance," and many Indians like and romanticise his classic romantic comedies and dramas like Silsila, Lamhe, Kabhi Kabhie, Veer-Zaara, Dil To Pagal Hai, Chandni, and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. There will be 35 important voices from the Hindi film industry in the documentary series, including megastars who have worked closely with YRF over the years. It will explore Bollywood's history through the perspective of YRF and show how it had a significant impact on making Bollywood and its leading actors household names around the world.

Smriti Mundhra, who has been nominated for both an Oscar and an Emmy, is back on Netflix with The Romantics after the success of Indian Matchmaking and Never Have I Ever.

Monika Shergill, VP of Content for Netflix India, talks about the partnership. She says that Yash Chopra's movies, which have earned him the nickname "The King of Romance," brought a new wave of emotion, individualism, and cultural change to Hindi cinema and helped build what is now one of the largest film industries in the world. In honour of the legendary music, tales, and nostalgia, they are collaborating with creative powerhouses YRF and Smriti Mundra to present The Romantics to their fans all over the world.

The compelling documentary series will tell the real and complete story of how Yash Chopra and his son Aditya Chopra built a world-class studio. This will give viewers a look into the lives of one of the most important families in the history of Bollywood cinema.

YRF is currently at an all-time high as Pathaan, the fourth movie in YRF's Spy Universe is smashing box office records around the world and breaking every one that has previously been set in the Hindi cinema industry.

YRF has made some of the biggest Indian movies ever made, like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, War, Sultan, Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Mohabbatein, and the Dhoom series. Also, Band Baaja Baarat, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Mardaani, and Chak De! India, to name a few, are songs that have become classics and will last for a long time.
