The weekend of October 6 is a packed one at the box office with three films hitting screens on the same day, namely Trisha's The Road, Vijay Antony's Raththam and Vikram Prabhu's Irugapatru.

The Road


South Queen Trisha's next, directed by Arun Vaseegaran, is bankrolled by AAA Cinemaa Pvt Limited. The trailer, which was released recently, has become a runaway hit from the audience with the video clocking more than 10 million views . Trisha's character Meera sets out to solve a mystery that is giving her sleepless nights. The film's tagline, 'Revenge in 462 kms', hints at an action-packed thriller. The Road is set to be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi and the star cast includes Shabeer Kallarakkal, Santhosh Prathap, Mia George, MS Bhaskar, to name a few.

Raththam


Vijay Antony's upcoming film, directed by CS Amudhan, has been censored with the 'U/A' certificate. The plot deals with a series of murders that wreaks havoc in Chennai and leads to the resignation of ministers from the state cabinet. Raththam stars Mahima Nambiar, Nandita Swetha, and Uday Mahesh among others. Kannan Narayanan has composed music, cinematography is by Gopi Amarnath and editing by TS Suresh. Dhilip Subbarayan has helmed the stunt sequences. Raththam is bankrolled by Infiniti Film Ventures.

Irugapatru


Vikram Prabhu's Irugapatru, which has him share screen space with Shraddha Srinath, Vidaarth, Shri, Abarnathi, Sania Iyappan, is directed by Yuvraaj Dhayalan. The film has been cleared with a U certificate and is said to be an outing that caters to all sections of the audience.  The trailer gives a glimpse of how being a husband and wife is a sole reason to fight. As different couples fight over petty things, Shraddha Srinath, a marriage counsellor, has absolulety no reason to fight with her husband. While Justin Prabhakaran has composed the music, cinematography is by Gokul Benoy and editing is by JV Manikanda Balaji.
