Teaser overview:
The opening of the teaser shows what appears to be a gas leak at a large plant. In an effort to protect themselves from the toxic fumes, people can be seen rushing around with their garments over their noses and mouths. R. Madhavan, the Central Railways' General Manager, walks in and orders the station master, Kay Kay Menon, to take action. Divyenndu plays a police constable who volunteers to fulfil his job and promises that his community can put their faith in him even more than in his outfit. Babil Khan, the lone visible loco pilot at the station, is briefly spotted as well. He is overheard claiming that this is his city and the people who are being killed are his own. The tone of the teaser is created by multiple brief views of the victims shortly after the main characters and plot are introduced.
The unsung heroes of the Bhopal gas tragedy are the focus of The Railway Men, an engaging four-part character-driven series. The show, written by Aayush Gupta and directed by debutant Shiv Rawail, will focus on the heroic actions taken by Indian Railways staff during that period and their unwavering will to preserve lives.
The limited series will premiere on Netflix on November 18, 2023.
