Yash Raj Films marks its foray into the world of web shows with its first web series, The Railway Men. The four-episode series has been directed by Shiv Rawail. It is one of the most anticipated web projects of this year. Ahead of its OTT release, here's all you need to know about The Railway Men, which will soon premiere on a streaming platform.
Plot of The Railway Men
Shiv Rawail's The Railway Men is inspired by true stories. It is set against the backdrop of the 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy. As per the official synopsis of the series, it will narrate the story of Indian Railway employees' bravery as they tried to save countless human lives during the 1984 incident in Bhopal.

The web series features talented actors like Kay Kay Menon, R Madhavan, Babil Khan and Divyenndu in pivotal roles. All of their characters were introduced in the teaser and trailer for The Railway Men.

The Railway Men's official trailer was released on November 6, 2023. It highlighted the heroic act of the Indian Railway employees, who took charge to save their fellow citizens at the darkest hour on December 2, 1984. While sharing it on YouTube, the makers of this web show penned, "A tale of the unsung heroes, whose sacrifice and resilience saved thousands of lives, on a night that changed Bhopal forever."

In an official statement, Shiv Rawail mentioned that directing this web show was an emotional and rewarding journey for him. "It's a story of the human spirit that needed to be told to remind people of the power of resilience in the face of adversity. I am truly humbled and honored to helm this series," the director said.
Release date and OTT partner
Starring Babil, R Madhavan, Kay Ka Menom and Divyenndu, The Railway Men will premiere on Netflix. It is scheduled for an OTT release on November 18, 2023. The makers have promised to narrate the untold story of Bhopal 1984 with this show. Ayush Gupta is the writer of this much-awaited Netflix and YRF web show.
