The world of streaming got a major upgrade back in 1994 when R. Scott Gemmill and John Wells introduced ER, a show set in the emergency room of a hospital. The series followed a team of doctors tackling not only patients’ health problems but also their personal battles. The show was much loved and still boasts a great fan following. So, when Max announced they were collaborating with the same creators for another hospital-centered show, fans were thrilled. About The Pitt
The Pitt offers a realistic examination of the challenges faced by healthcare workers in America today. The story is told from the perspective of frontline heroes at a fictional hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Each episode covers one hour in a 15-hour shift, with the season comprising 15 episodes in total.
According to the official logline: “The Pitt is a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America, as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh, Penn. Each episode follows an hour of Dr. Robby’s (Noah Wyle) 15-hour shift as the chief attendant in Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital’s emergency room.”
Where to Watch
Streaming on JioCinema, The Pitt premiered on January 9, 2025, and is currently one of the most-followed shows on the platform. So far, the show has released four episodes, with new episodes dropping every Thursday at 7:30 AM IST. The season began with a two-episode premiere and will continue to release one episode per week until April 10.
