Another YA fiction series will be getting a live-action avatar. The Mysterious Benedict Society, which is based on Trenton Lee Stewart’s books, will drop on Disney+ Hotstar on June 25, according to its latest trailer.

The video introduced the characters of the show in a rather funny manner. An invigilator mistakenly horrifies the students by saying, “If any child is caught cheating, they will be executed,” when what she meant was excused. The trailer also shows the students going through many physical and mental tests to finally be selected for The Mysterious Benedict Society, which they are unaware of. Finally, four orphans are chosen for a mission by Mr Benedict, who is portrayed by Emmy Award-winner Tony Hale.

The series, co-created by Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay, has Kristen Schaal, Ryan Hurst, MaameYaa Boafo and Gia Sandhu.

The show, which was supposed to air on Hulu, was shifted to Disney+. Dana Walden, chairman of Entertainment at Walt Disney Television, said in a statement: “The series is original, clever and fun for the whole family, which makes it the perfect fit for Disney+. One of the great benefits to creators working with our company is that we have a platform that’s right for every series, and having seen the first few episodes of this show, there is no better home for it than Disney+.”
