For 2019, Amazon Prime Video announced that they are renewing their hit series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel for a fourth season. After two years, the makers have dropped the first look of the upcoming season, featuring Rachel Brosnahan reprising her role as Miriam Midge Maisel, aka Midge. In the first photo, the actor is seen lying on a table amid all the party props, captured in a pensive mood.

While sharing the first look images, the Twitter page of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel captioned them as "Here’s a look at Season 4 of # MrsMaisel – let’s hear some first reactions!"

Talking about the premise of the series, Midge Maisel's life is on track in 1958 New York with her husband, children, and magnificent Yom Kippur dinners at their Upper West Side apartment. When her life takes an unexpected turn, she must rapidly decide what else she is capable of – and switching from housewife to stand-up comedian seems like a crazy choice to everyone but her. Amy Sherman-Palladino wrote and directed The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

In the third season, Midge and Susie discover that touring with Shy is both glamorous and humbling, and they learn a valuable lesson about show business. Joel is torn between supporting Midge and following his own ambitions. Rose discovers her own abilities when Abe accepts a new task.

Alex Borstein, Michael Zegen, Marin Hinkle, Tony Shalhoub, Kevin Pollak, Caroline Aaron, and Jane Lynch are among the cast members.

In 2017, the series won the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy, and in 2018, it won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series, with Sherman-Palladino winning honours for Outstanding Directing and Outstanding Writing at the latter presentation.

Brosnahan received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 2018, as well as two Golden Globe Awards in a row for Best Actress in a Television Series Musical or Comedy in 2018 and 2019.

Borstein won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series two years in a row, in 2018 and 2019, and Tony Shalhoub won Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in 2019.

The streaming date for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season Four is yet to be announced.
