The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is one of the most-anticipated shows of this year. The makers of the show cleared the mist around it, giving the first trailer at the Super Bowl event.
The trailer offers a scenic and stunning look into the world the show is set in. The story precedes the events of The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings in what is now referred to as “The Second Age” of Middle Earth.
The minute-long trailer does a good job of introducing the characters, the locations, and events, most of which would be exciting and all too familiar to fans of J. R. R. Tolkien.
The trailer also offers a loot at Galadriel, who was played by Cate Blanchett in Peter Jackson's original trilogy, climbing a mountain and riding into war and a Harfoot, who are early day Hobbits, who are yet to establish the Shire. The narration in the video seems to be by Harfoot, played by Markella Kavanagh.
The Rings of Power has a strong line up of cast which includes Charles Edwards, Maxim Baldry, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Ian Blackburn, Kip Chapman, Anthony Crum, Maxine Cunliffe, Trystan Gravelle, among many others.
The series is led by showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay. The show is set to release in over 240 countries and territories around the world in multiple languages on Friday, September 2, with new episodes available weekly.
