While there is a plethora of shows about to be released and even more in the making, there will never be a point where the demand for The Last Of Us Season 2 will fade anytime soon. The show, introduced to the masses last year with Season One, was an instant banger, and the demand for more only surged, leading HBO to greenlight the second season of the show in no time. Starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey in the lead, the show has been making quite a buzz for a long while now. As the makers now work on the fast track to deliver the second season of the much-awaited show, the latest report talks about the new addition to the cast, and the show is getting bigger than we could imagine.

The New Cast Members!

Craig Mazin has not only built a dystopian world but also some brilliant characters with it. The first season had many faces introduced in the course of the show, of which some died and very few stayed recurring. Now The Last Of Us Season 2 will have Pedro and Bella reprise their parts alongside Isabela Merced and Young Mazino. As per the announcement, the show now has four new faces entering as varied characters, which the players of Part II of the game must already be aware of.

Danny Ramirez, Ariela Barer, Tati Gabrielle, and Spencer Lord have been roped into The Last Of Us Season 2 by HBO. Popularly known for Top Gun: Maverick, Ramirez has been cast as Manny, whose logline reads "a loyal soldier whose sunny outlook belies the pain of old wounds and a fear that he will fail his friends when they need him most." Ariela, known for How to Blow Up A Pipeline, will be playing Mel, "a young doctor whose commitment to saving lives is challenged by the realities of war and tribalism."

You star Gabrielle has been roped in as Nora, "a military medic struggling to come to terms with the sins of her past," and Lord, known for Heartland, will be seen as Owen, "a gentle soul trapped in a warrior’s body, condemned to fight an enemy he refuses to hate."

About The Last Of Us

The show is set two decades after modern civilization has been destroyed, and a deadly pandemic is killing the last of the hope that exists on the planet. Between this is a tragedy-hit smuggler Joel, who lands the job of smuggling a teenage girl Ellie out of an oppressed quarantine zone. The show takes us through dystopia like no other and is actually based on a game of the same name. The second season will be based on The Last Of Us Part II.

Pedro Pascal On The Last Of Us Season 2

Recently, Pedro Pascal, who won the SAG award for the show, also spoke about how the filming of The Last Of Us Season 2 is going along. The actor, giving an update on the same, said, “Filming is going amazing, it’s sort of awe-inspiring the kind of focus and dedication that everyone has going into Season 2.”

“It’s incredible to be back home with them and creatively and everybody, our entire crew, they’re working harder than I could even imagine, even harder than our first season which is close to impossible,” Pedro Pascal added.
