In a new teaser that Max shared on their Instagram handle, The Last Of Us Season 2 release window has been confirmed. The streamer, in the caption, wrote “April,” which confirmed the release month of the show. The teaser, however, is an intriguing deeper insight as the tension rises and the dead come for the living as they all strive hard to stay alive. The comments section is filled with excitement because gamers know where this goes. They tell the audience that they are not ready for the twist that is coming. Well, fasten your seat belts, folks!
The Last Of Us Season 3 Already in Place
As per Production Bulletin, The Last Of Us Season 3 is already in place even before the makers have confirmed the release date for the second season. The studio is already working on the pre-production of Season 3, and not just that, but the team, including Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, will start filming the season in summer 2025. Which means they will be on the sets of the third season in roughly six months. This is an exciting update. Nothing more about the third season is out yet.

While the wait for The Last Of Us Season 2 is getting tougher with time, and 2025 seems too far, Craig Mazin, in an interview with Deadline, teased that while it is based on the second game, it will feature some unseen stories. Yes, you read that right. "As a fan, I'm thrilled that there might be a third Last of Us game," Mazin said. This excites us even more to know what is cooking at HBO as we speak.
"As the co-creator of this television show, there's no world where we would want our show to go beyond the source material that people have in the world. Our show, as people know it on HBO, is going to cover the material from the second game and then quite a bit of material that is relevant to that story but, as said, wanders down interesting new paths, unseen stories that were told within the context of that game's material," he added.
