The long-awaited trailer of Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty starer The Kashmir Files is finally out. The Vivek Agnihotri directorial is based on the true stories of the victims of the Kashmir Genocide. The forthcoming movie also has Pallavi Joshi, Prakash Belavadi and Darshan Kumar in pivotal roles.
The trailer begins with an intense scene, where one of the government officials can be seen confronting a person about the killings he has done so far. The video further glimpses the situation of the state and ongoing brutal events that happened around the 1990s.
It also gives audiences a glimpse of the terror, confusion and sheer panic that consumed Kashmir at the time.

Talking about his film, director Agnihotri mentioned that bringing this story to theatres is not easy it has been handled with a great deal of sensitivity. "This film promises to be an eye-opener and with a talented ensemble cast, audiences can revisit this incident in Indian history through this raw and real narrative," added the filmmaker.
The movie maker took the latest official trailer on Instagram and shared it with a heartfelt note. "India is at war. But nobody is telling you. Not anymore. Pl watch the trailer of the most Brutally Honest story of Kashmir Genocide. Pl share if you like it. #TheKashmirFiles #RightToJustice (sic)," reads the caption.
Actress Pallavi mentioned her thoughts about the upcoming film in a recent statement and said that the audiences can actually feel and endure the emotions that the characters go through.
The Kashmir Files, which also features Bhasha Sumbali, Chinmay Mandlekar, Puneet Issar, Mrinal Kulkarni, Atul Srivastava and Prithviraj Sarnaik in key roles, is set to have a theatrical release on March 11.
