After the first look unveiling of Anupam Kher's character in Vivek Agnihotri's upcoming directorial The Kashmir Files, Darshan Kumar and Pallavi Joshi's characters have also been revealed.
While Kher's character is called Pushkar as a tribute to his late father Pushkar Nath, Kumar is Krishna Pandit, a third-generation Kashmiri Pandit. The actor has previously starred in films like NH 10, Sarbjit, Baaghi 2 and Toofaan.
Here is the motion poster:
Joshi plays Radhika Menon, a college professor. In the clip introducing her character, she can be heard asking, "Kashmir has never been an integral part of India and this is a historical fact. Agar India Britain se apni Independence ke liye lad sakti hai toh Kashmir kyun nahi? (If India can fight Britain for Independence then why not Kashmir?)"
The Kashmir Files will focus on the 1990s exodus of the Kashmiri Pandit community from the valley.
Agnihotri has written and directed the film, which is produced by him, Zee Studios and Tej Narayan Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal, and Joshi. The film is set to be released in cinemas on Republic Day next year.
